Courtney B. Smith
Born and raised into a Mississippi lawyer family, Courtney B. “Corky” Smith was instilled with a sense of justice for all from a young age. Corky began his legal career as a prosecutor and then moved into private practice, with his primary focus on civil litigation. Corky has successfully litigated and tried cases in courts across the country, consistently advocating for injured victims. For the last several years, Corky has devoted his practice to pharmaceutical and medical device “mass torts” including but not limited to Xarelto, opioids, Benicar, IVC filter, talcum powder, Anadarko, Anti-Terrorism Act litigation, and Camp LeJeune. In addition to private practice, Corky is a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard where he is currently a 1LT attached to the 155th ABCT as Trial Counsel/Magistrate. Corky enjoys being in the outdoors, his family, traveling, and history.
